WorkWeek is designed to make tracking time and managing payroll simple, accurate, and easy. This guide shows you how to use our employee bulk upload template, which lets you upload multiple employees’ details to the WorkWeek dashboard all at once, saving time and getting you set up faster.
Getting to Know the Employee Bulk Upload Template
The employee bulk upload template is an Excel file with three sheets:
- Welcome: An introduction to the template with a quick guide on how to use it.
- Main Sheet: Where you’ll enter all your team’s details for upload. You have two options for filling this in:
- Manual Entry: Type in each employee’s information directly.
- Copy and Paste: If you already have an existing digital file (CSV or Excel), you can copy and paste data directly into this sheet.
- Country Code Look Up: A quick reference for finding the correct country code if needed.
After you’ve completed the template, send it to your Customer Success Manager, who will handle the upload to your WorkWeek dashboard.
How to Submit Your Template
- Final Check: Review each entry carefully—especially Employee IDs, names, and pay rates—to ensure all details are correct.
- Send It In: Email your completed file to your Customer Success Manager, who will take care of the rest.
Tips for Using Bulk Uploads
- Bulk Uploads Are for New Entries Only: Bulk uploads add new employees but can’t be used to update information for employees already in the system.
- Follow the Template Format: Keeping the format the same as shown in the template example helps ensure everything uploads smoothly.
- Use the Dashboard for Updates: For future updates, like phone number changes, you can edit employee records directly on the WorkWeek dashboard.
